Donald Strathdee – Principal Consultant
Based in Aberdeen but with a global remit, Donald is a former Director with the Energy & Natural Resources Practice of the Search and Selection firm, Norman Broadbent. More recently, Donald was with international Search consultants Odgers Ray &
Berndtson where he was a Partner in the Oil and Gas Practice.
After an early career in advertising and marketing with Thomson Newspapers and Ford Motor Company, Donald entered the Oil and Gas Recruitment industry in 1983. Since then, Donald has been continuously involved in recruiting for the upstream and downstream Oil and Gas sector worldwide. He has over 26 years' experience including as an in-house Recruitment Manager having spent time with AMEC and Ocean Group, supporting business project needs in the UK, Middle East and Asia.
Over the past 13 years, Donald has specialised in international Search assignments for major Oil and Gas companies in North America, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, the Caspian, West Africa and Asia Pacific. This has covered senior technical, commercial and managerial roles for exploration, production, transportation, refining and marketing.
